How is this possible?!?

As I'm sure you all know, advertising is everything for a company, product or web page to become successful. Ask yourself this - why is radio free, or television free? You may have cable charges to be able to view networks, but you pay internet connection charges also to view the www network. They are able to pay us money simply because the banners are displayed, and are there to be seen, whether they are noticed, or clicked.

The web is the single greatest medium for communication in the world, by far. Therefore companies that need advertisement must utilize this. A radio commercial can cost thousands to do, and TV commercial hundreds of thousands, or even millions. A banner can take as little as 5 minutes to make, and is ready for viewing. Companies are therefore able to invest more in different forms of getting that banner to be seen by you the consumer, and this is where these pay-to-surf programs get their business. Many people at first glance tend to dismiss these programs as gimmicks or frauds, but trust me, they make a ton compared to the small amount (relatively speaking) that they pay to us.

They want to have their banners displayed, because the more they display, the more they get paid by the initial company looking for advertising. Therefore they want to have as many customers to pay out to as possible. It's a win win situation.
